Apiaries

Last updated on October 26, 2026

The Apiaries view lists all of your apiaries, with for each one the number of operations still upcoming, and serves as the entry point to each apiary's and its hives' details.

On the website

The dashboard (home page) shows your apiaries as cards, each one indicating the pending actions for that apiary.

It also offers a quick search: type a hive's code to go straight to its record without going through the apiaries list, plus a free personal notes box (visible to you only, a reminder like "treat apiary X on Friday").

On the mobile app

In the Browse → Apiaries tab, find the same list, with the number of pending operations for each apiary.

Apiary and hives: the base hierarchy

An apiary is a geographic location that groups several hives. This apiary → hives hierarchy is the foundation of all ApiTracer traceability: every operation, harvest, or evaluation is linked to a hive, which is itself linked to an apiary. That's why the Apiaries view is often the starting point when browsing: from an apiary, you access its hives, then each one's history.

To create or edit an apiary or a hive, see Management → Apiaries & Hives. To locate them visually, see the Map.

How do I keep an overview when managing several apiaries?

The more an operation has scattered apiaries, the harder it becomes to remember, from memory alone, what's left to do on each one: a classic organizational problem as soon as a herd spans more than a few locations. The usual answer is to centralize, apiary by apiary, a simple indicator of what's pending rather than reopening the complete history every time. That's exactly what the Apiaries view does: each apiary shows its number of upcoming operations, making it possible to spot at a glance which one most needs a visit before heading out into the field.
