Documents
Last updated on October 26, 2026
The Documents section gathers, on the website, the regulatory registers that ApiTracer generates automatically from data already entered — no manual re-entry is needed, as long as operations, harvests and weighings are recorded as they happen.
This section has no equivalent in the mobile app: the app is used to enter data in the field, the website to view and export it as documents.
Available documents
Honey house log
Accessible from Documents → Honey house log, this log gathers all honey house operations (weighings, extractions, storage batches). It is the document expected by regulations to justify honey traceability from harvest through to jarring.
Breeding register
Accessible from Documents → Breeding register, it has two parts:
- Tracking — history of health interventions and operations carried out on the herd.
- Headcount — change in the number of colonies over time, with a dedicated calendar view.
Storage code
Accessible from Documents → Storage code, this is direct access to managing the container traceability codes (drums, jars) that guarantee the origin of honey from extraction through to jarring.
Why these documents are generated, not entered by hand
A regulatory document kept by hand is slow to maintain and prone to copying errors. By computing them from data already present in ApiTracer (operations, harvests, storage), the Documents section stays always in sync with the reality of the operation: the more complete the field entries, the more accurate these documents are.
What are a honey house log and a breeding register for?
The honey house log and the breeding register are the two reference registers generally expected of a beekeeping operation to justify honey traceability and the health tracking of its herd: the first links each honey batch back to its origin through to jarring, the second traces interventions on colonies and the change in headcount over time. Kept by hand, these documents require double entry and a risk of copying errors; ApiTracer computes them automatically from data already recorded in the field, so they stay up to date with no extra effort.
